Association of Municipalities of Estonia (AME)
A national association of local authorities uniting the majority of Estonia’s non-urban (rural) municipalities in all of Estonia’s 15 counties.

153 members as of 1. May 2009

The AME was first established on 20 November 1921, functioned till 1940 and resumed activities in 1993 after Estonia had regained its independence (in 1991).

The AME functions as a non-profit non-governmental organisation.
